Lifeline® is the #1 Medical Alert Service trusted by hospitals and healthcare professionals. HealthTouch, a VNA of Care New England affiliate is proud to partner with Philips Lifeline® to bring this potentially life-saving technology into the homes of Rhode Islanders. Lifeline® is an excellent way to enable older adults, disabled individuals or those at risk for falls to maintain their independence safely while providing peace of mind for those who care for them.
Lifeline® users are supported 24 hours a day, seven days a week by wearing a communicator button. If the button is activated, it connects to a specially trained Response Associate who assesses the need for help and then contacts a designated neighbor, family member, or emergency personnel depending on the specific needs of the situation. The Response Associate will also provide a follow-up call to confirm that help has arrived.

There is a small monthly rental fee and a one-time $50 installation fee. The installation fee is half price ($25) if you mention that you learned about Lifeline® through any of the Care New England affiliate web sites (VNA of Care New England, Butler Hospital, Kent Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital, Care New England Wellness Center.) Units are typically installed within 24 hours throughout Rhode Island.
