The public is invited to attend "Coping With the Holidays," on Tuesday, November 13 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Pilgrim Senior Center in Warwick. Flu Shots Now Available
Did you know it takes up to two weeks after getting your flu shot to be fully protected? Why wait? Flu can arrive at any time. VNA of Care New England is providing flu shots this Saturday and Sunday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at its offices at 51 Health Lane in Warwick (behind Kent Hospital) and at other select locations throughout the next week. Worried about a loved one falling at home? Give yourself extra peace of mind by giving them a Lifeline Personal Emergency Response System. HealthTouch is currently waiving the installation fee for new Lifeline subscribers. Toward helping those who have experienced the loss of a loved one, Hospice Care at the VNA of Care New England offers a Grief Support Group. The next six-session series will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursdays from March 23 through April 27 at the Pilgrim Senior Center, 27 Pilgrim Parkway, Warwick. Health Touch to Close April 15, 2017
The VNA of Care New England has announced that it is closing its private duty home care service, Health Touch, effective April 15, 2017. The decision comes after several years of challenges in maintaining staffing levels, resulting in an increasingly small client population. HealthTouch is an independently licensed company under the management of the VNA of Care New England. Read more
