"Now is the time to get a flu shot," says Paula Foster RN, Manager of Infection Control/Occupational Health at the VNA of Care New England. The Center of Disease Control (CDC) recommends that everyone 6 months and older get a flu vaccine each year. Getting a flu vaccine is the first and most important step in protecting against this serious disease.
The VNA of Care New England is one of the largest providers of flu vaccines in the State. Registered nurses administer the vaccines. Foster explains two reasons why so many people choose VNA of Care New England for their flu vaccine, "It is because of the experience of the nurses and the convenience of the clinic locations. We have clinics that are scheduled for the public in convenient locations throughout Rhode Island. In addition, many businesses and schools schedule on-site flu vaccine clinics for their employees. Getting a flu shot can't get easier than that!"
