| Speech therapy is one component of the rehabilitative therapy services offered in patients' homes when prescribed by a physician.
Specially trained speech language therapists work with patients to correct speech or swallowing disorders, and help restore language and communication skills.
Many of our patients come to us after a brain injury, neuromuscular diseases, stroke, or other injury or illness.
Based on each patient's unique needs, the speech pathologist will develop a program with exercises and activities to strengthen muscles, sharpen speech, and improving reading, recall, and listening skills.
They also work with cognitive communication impairments such as attention, memory, and problem-solving disorders. |
